Nutrition

Eating well and staying active can promote overall health and a sense of well being, and may even help keep your cancer from returning. Nutritional needs of cancer survivors are being studied every day, but there are no guarantees. However, following a few simple guidelines may help prevent cancer and may guard against its return. A diet high in a variety of vegetables, fruits, whole grains and beans, and low in red and processed meats, can fight and possibly prevent cancer.

We are pleased to introduce Eating Well During Cancer, a video series produced by the Dana Farber Cancer Institute’s nutrition team. Cancer Wellness TV has agreed to a content partnership with Dana Farber. This is the first of many content partnerships in the works so stayed tuned for upcoming announcements. The Eating Well During Cancer video series explores how diet can help support your health and wellbeing during and after cancer treatment. These videos feature nutritionist Stacy Kennedy as she dives in the specific issues facing diet in relation to cancer. She touches on a range of nutritional topics and recipes.
